Sunday morning

I’ve always loved mornings…and more so when the sun is out early! Because it’s no fun waking up to a dark sky. Today, I woke up early to try and get a solid writing session in and some exercise.

I split my time between SoCal and NorCal, and right now I’m in the Bay Area, and relatively close to the waterfront. I’ve been loving the Nike Run Club’s 17-minute Tabata run, which feels like strenuous exercise but is technically only 4 minutes of running—THAT, I can get on board with. So I snuck in my 4 minutes after some breakfast (and a cup of coffee…okay two cups).
Then it was writing time…which for me flows better in the mornings. I’m working on A Very Scottish Scandal, centered around Scotland, so it feels like I’m spending my mornings in the Scottish Highlands, as opposed to the Bay Area.
To put me in a Scottish mood, I’ve been obsessed with the Generally Spooky podcast. The couple who host it are so fun to listen to, and the stories they share are always intriguing. I listen to them while I’m commuting and it always makes the time go by faster.
Once Upon a New York Summer launched earlier this week, and I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it.
